The publication chosen is Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. This section of the story blurs the boundaries between reality and fantasy, a theme vividly introduced in Chapter One. This publication package captures Alice’s initial descent into Wonderland, symbolising her transition from the structured logic of reality to the fluid, dreamlike absurdity of fantasy.

Using die cuts of the booklet and enclosure symbolises Alice’s descent. Its spiraling, endless descent reflects the disorientation of leaving behind the rules of the real world. The design highlights this moment with a stark contrast in typography. Symmetrical and warped elements of the real world give way to chaotic, surreal shapes and shifting perspectives within the tunnel.
